Spend time reading every day
Reading daily can be very helpful for many reasons, especially when done regularly. Reading helps people improve their cognitive skills, learn new things, and expand their language, among other things.

- Reading for 30 minutes can lower your heart rate, blood pressure, and feelings of mental anxiety.
- A different study found that reading for six minutes daily can reduce stress by 68%.
So, in summary, reading daily makes you smarter and has an excellent impact on your health.
Stop wasting your time with meaningless activities
If you wish to become smart, leave anything that brings neither value nor knowledge.
This may involve prioritizing learning, brain-stimulating hobbies, or meaningful relationships. By managing our time and energy, we can live rich lives.
Eliminating distractions allows for deep reflection and focused learning. Similarly, simplifying our lives can improve our concentration and ability to learn.
Learning isn’t enough—you also need habits and mindsets that encourage self-improvement.
By intentionally spending our time, we can reach our full potential and start a lifelong learning and discovery adventure. Naturally, you will also become smarter with each passing day!
Focus on building a deeper understanding
Wits are not just about doing math and remembering phone numbers. In fact, they are mostly about understanding others on a deeper level or emotional level.

Human beings may be fueled by food, oxygen, and water. But they are driven by emotions!
Learning about oneself and others is essential to intellectual growth. Cognitive skills like problem-solving and memory recall are important, but emotional intelligence is critical for social interactions and comprehending human behavior.
Empathy, self-awareness, and interpersonal skills can deepen our relationships. Recognizing and managing our emotions helps us build healthier relationships and make better life decisions.
Emotional intelligence also helps cognitive ability by explaining human motivations and intents. This deeper understanding of us and others’ emotions fosters true and meaningful connections, personal progress, and social harmony.
Mindfulness, active listening, and self-reflection boost emotional intelligence and general intelligence. By focusing on cognitive and emotional development, we can become well-rounded people who can easily handle modern life.
Foster quality relationships with like-minded people
Developing good relationships with like-minded people is crucial to learning. We can grow and learn with people who share our interests, values, and aspirations.

It’s good to ask questions because they help us explore our minds and the world around us. Because of this, it is very important to keep an open mind by always questioning everything.
There’s more to it than just asking questions. You should ask deep questions that test beliefs, look at logic, and explore the unknown. Learn to be willing to push for answers and ask questions that get to the heart of the problem.
It takes time and hard work to improve this skill, just like anything else. Always have a list of questions ready when working, reading, or doing other things. These questions can be about anything. If you don’t understand something, don’t be afraid to ask for help.
Diversify your day
Stretching out different parts of your brain is one of the best ways to get smarter. Your brain won’t get smarter if you do the same thing daily. Routines are helpful because they tell your body when to wake up and go to sleep, but you don’t want to be stuck in a rut during the day.

Adding a little something new to your daily routine will keep things interesting. You could try a new place for lunch or take a walk in the middle of the day and pay attention to the sounds and sights around you. You can also change things during work hours by doing your normal jobs in new ways and stepping out of your comfort zone.
After working on one thing for a while, you might find it helpful to switch to something else. Try to find a little different ways to do things. This will keep you from getting bored and keep your thoughts sharp.
If you change things up, you’ll use different parts of your brain every day. Using your brain in new ways makes you smarter; think of it as a general brain workout.
Review absorbed information
When I say ‘absorb’ instead of ‘learn,’ I mean it! We don’t have the luxury of copying information like a computer. We are built differently, so we absorb the information, and we do it slowly.
Our memories are sharpest shortly after learning. If you don’t use that information soon, you’ll forget it.
After a few days, we may only remember some of what we learned. We need to revisit what we’ve learned to improve our memory until it becomes ingrained.
Take notes while reading or researching, or jot down the essential ideas afterward. Then, review this content daily for a few minutes.
It takes some work, but once it’s a habit, you’ll be surprised at how well a fast review of the facts will confirm your understanding and show you where to focus.
Rewriting or reorganizing your notes will reinforce what you’ve learned. Revising notes clarifies our understanding and speeds up “relearning” when we need to use the knowledge later.
This is one of the best ways to become smart with each passing week.
Start a journal and keep track of your ideas
As it turns out, keeping a journal is a significant technique for further developing one’s intelligence.

Writing down your thoughts and putting them down on paper for a few minutes every day has been demonstrated to increase mental capacity.
It is known that smart people often keep journals to revisit the prominent happenings in their lives. This helps them learn from their own experiences, which I think is one of the best ways to become smart.
Evolve and allow yourself to change
When you evolve from your current state of existence, you become a better version of yourself. Such evolution is only possible if you allow yourself to change.
We sometimes limit ourselves unknowingly. Even the sharpest people often hold outdated beliefs and thinking methods. To be truly intelligent, you must make mistakes, take risks, seize opportunities, and learn from them.
To become a better person, you must be open to new ideas and change. Opening yourself to fresh knowledge and challenging your mind may lead you to doubt some of your core beliefs, and you may discover that some of your beliefs were unfounded.
Encourage debate, listen to others, and use your analytical skills. You can change your mind. Above all, allow yourself to grow and pursue wisdom. Getting smarter leads to success.
